The Memorial Christmas Tree
With Jane Parish’s passing last Spring 2008, the Orleans Improvement Association lost a dedicated member of our Board. Through the kindness of Jane’s many friends who contributed to the Orleans Improvement Association in her memory, OIA has planted a new Colorado Blue Spruce on the Orleans Village Green. We also purchased strings of warm LED lights to decorate this new Christmas tree for years to come as well as the Hospice trees and the holiday decorations on the Village Green. We would like to thank Cape Light Compact for assisting and partnering with us on this project. We are already working on more lighted snowflakes for the Village Green and look forward to seeing the new Christmas tree grow and thrive under the good care of Bartlett Tree Experts who planted it on our behalf. OIA extends a special thanks to Paul Fulcher, Orleans Park Superintendent, who worked with us all the way through the Village Green project.
